Price of cues

It's a brutal market for cuemakers to try to enter. Some of the best in the biz are going back to work becuase it's just not viable to do build cues full time. Pool has not been growing in our country and for the last decade it seems there have been a handful of new cuemakers entering the market every month. Quite frankly, the market is flooded with product. With all the equipment and information available, most everyone is building a nice cue these days so there are few differentiators. Plus, the pricing on nearly everything I've seen lately is out of control. Just some random thoughts...

Well you can get rid of 1/2 of the cuemakers by developing a g-code virus. :)

Less players + more cuemakers = lotta wood for sale. I would think if a cuemaker got into making ivory chip markers for poker he might have a little better side business. Plus there has been a plethora of collector dumping. The 2000-5000 market is being hit hard by this. I can't say I blame them however.
