Hey everybody. I'm relatively new to this forum and was wondering if I could get some advice on a custom. I've been shooting on and off for a couple years and just got serious over the past year or so. I shoot with a Predator right now and will eventually be looking into getting a custom. I'm thinking about a hoppe style, ebony butt with an ivory hoppe ring, ebony points with 3 or 4 veneers, maple forearm, ss joint, and a leather wrap. What kind of pricing should I expect on a cue like this? Also, who's the guy to go to for this?? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Go over to the Wanted/For Sale section. Hoppe style can go from $300-3000. Depends on the cue maker and a few other things. From what I see, $500-1000 will get you a great cue with two shafts.

The simplest answer is that it all depends on who makes the cue. I'd suggest you find a cue maker in your area, try out a couple of his or her cues and then have them build one if you like the way they play. If you want a collectible ignore the above and track down one of the big names and expect to pay through the nose (and wait a long time)!

I agree with Bob, you can spend a little or a lot. For 1000 I think there are probably a handful of cuemakers on this site that could build you the exact cue you described. Great taste in cue btw, thats my Tascarella to the T.
