prime pool age

seems like you could fit most successful sports stories in that 20-40 range..I guess pool's no exception
will be interesting to track trends moving forward-
just today it was reported that for the first time in the open era(1968-present),
men aged 30 or over outnumber men under 30 in the round of 16 at wimbledon..
and only two of 16 players are under 27.
 
Knocked out of a tourney at 3am this morning...and still out of the money in 7th/8th.

This 50 year old CANNOT do that again.
 
I think 30-35 is the perfect blend of experience and ability assuming you were a good player by 20.

Yes with, as Scott Lee observed, some exceptions, this is pretty much how I feel.
 
i’m playing the best pool of my life and turned 50 last week.

Just turned 73 and better than when I was 40. Secret, I don't have
to work anymore and play for at least 2 hours a day. What I have
lost in eyesight, gained in knowledge. No substitute for repeating the
pocketing of balls.
