Is there any way to retrieve an unfinished pm after the refresh button is accidentally pushed before sending.
 
Does it live anywhere on this god forsaken thing called a computer. Thanks.

Try your browser's "back" button perhaps? Going forward, Ctrl+A --> Ctrl+C is your friend.
 
Yes, at least with firefox. Never tested other browsers.

Get back to the message text box and press ctrl+Z (undo). Your typing should reappear. Might need to do it twice.
