Norman Hitchcock

Being that you were playing in the OKC so long ago, you ever happen to run into Norman Hitchcock?

Yes, I saw Norman Hitchcock play about 3 times I think. I remember one time when I was in Wichita, KS and about 4 days into a pretty deep and expensive hustle. When Norman came into the bar to see who this businessman was that everyone was talking about, he just said he had no idea who I was and then left. He had just seen me playing & beating Fat Randy about one month
earlier in Miami, Okla.
I also saw him here in St. louis. He came to play and beat a local one pocket player (Gordon Guy). I was betting on the side on him through some railbirds and when they were finished I gave $200 to Norman. He asked why and I told him it wasn't just for the $ I just won betting on him but also for keeping quiet about me in Wichita which turned into a $3,700 score. Even though it happened over 3 years ago, he remembered and was very appriciative.

Not too long ago I remember Corey D was in town and played the 15 ball - one pocket ghost for 500 a rack, but he was getting 5 to 1 on the odds. i can't remember how long he played, but i know he did win a couple of $2500 racks. I think he lost about $5000.

I saw him last year in Tulsa and Olathe. He is still playing pretty good, but not as good as he used to from what I understand. I believe he is living in Tulsa now, but as Tom said, he has been away to "college" for a long time.
