Pro Players That Have Health Benifits

I have had consistent health care coverage most of my life - either paid for by myself (individual PPO) or through an employee benefits program. In fact, at one time, I ran dual coverage.

There is no reason a Pro Player could not have the same except for the choices they make with their, though meager, income.

So, you see no reason why a pro player can't pay 600 or more a month for just themselves? I had insurance for 20 years, started out paying around 100, then paid 247.00 for many years and never used it once, and they went up to 587.00, I canceled. Well, many couldn't pay that, pool player or not. A few hour stay at the hospital cost me 3500 a few months ago. A knee surgery cost me over 10,000 three years ago, and that was the cash discount price. Surgery on one eye cost me 4000 a few months ago, cash price. I've had some heart problems for the last year that has cost me over 10,000 so far. You can't even get a appointment with a good doctor without insurance now. Health care is busting many of the middle class citizens.

No matter what you do the rich will always get the best healthcare in the world. The poor will get a free ride, and the middle class will pay for most of it. Johnnyt

^^^^^^Bingo!

I would bet super large that IF we were to examine the lifestyle and expenses of professional pool players we could easily find up to $1000 a month to pay for all their health insurance needs.

In fact I think that same can be said for a lot of people who complain about not being able to afford health care but yet spend 500 a month on junk food and other crap.
