Pro pocket rails for valley

I would think they are as well built as Ridgebacks but I think you're missing the point asking if they are better than Ridgebacks.

I'm not a mechanic but I'm familiar with Ridgebacks and stock valley rails from an owners perspective.

Ridgebacks and Pro Pocket K55s serve different purposes. Ridgebacks make a Valley play the best as designed. Pro Pocket K55s are for making Valley "pockets" play like Diamond pockets. To this guys credit that's what he advertises. But no way will a Valley ever play like a Diamond.

If anyone wanted, all they have to do is ask Kerry to make rails that make the pockets smaller, and he would, as he already has for several customers at their request;) as far as quality, Ridgebacks are built much better, I should know, I helped design the rails with Kerry;)

"If anyone wanted, all they have to do is ask Kerry to make rails that make the pockets smaller"

That is a fact ... When I talked to Kerry a few months ago and asked about angles he said he could make them any angle I wanted. Also did you notice that the pics on eBay do not show the back of the rails. Ya think there's a "ridge back" there?

On a side note: One of my bangers was complaining about the the rails being too lively on Table 1 (has a set of Ridgebacks). I said, "get used to it because the other tables will be the same in a couple of months."

Fred's rails don't have the backside "3rd ridge" but he makes a good set comparable or better then OEM. My concern would be the change to the play area since he states the rails are thicker (wider).

I used penguin rails several years ago. I had problems with them: subrails spliting, Tee nuts spinning and cushion coming loose. Besides those problems the rails played good and fast. I don't have any of these problems with Ridgebacks.
