Pro Tournament Idea

Lately (maybe for a long time) some pro bowler tournaments are setting up different lane conditions for each individual match in the finals. Pro golfers are always faced with different setups for the courses they play. One of the talents that pro pool players have is the ability to quickly adapt to table conditions. Are there pros that favor certain conditions over others? I'm not a pro, but used to play a lot and had certain likes. I'd prefer to see tournaments where each individual table is different and cloth speeds vary. The repetitive nature of tournament conditions makes the game too easy for world class players. IMO I'm sure there would be variations on this idea. Cueball especially. Whaddya think?

I was thinking this might start in Phillipines but maybe here is good.

I'm thinking chickens on the table running around chasing little pieces of food. So you
have to time your stroke and a get perfect. Yes we can have different cloths on it,
that would be good too!

Really, this would an awesome thing to watch. Sorta like donkey softball. Lots of entertainment value!

Interesting thing is this....Play conditions on new cloth in pro events are ALWAYS in ''constant change'.

Weather, chalk dust, cloth wear, oils from hands being transferred to the play surface.

As the crowds increase (room humidity increases allot) on the weekends, table starts playing differently. The conditions in a pro table tournament environment, naturally evolve/change as the week plays out.

For 9 Ball they could use the 9 balls plus 6 "Obstacle" Balls. Much easier to 3 foul, and far more difficult to run out.

But I love seeing packs put together.

I like that idea. Have them play with a mud ball and see how that rolls out. Let's see some other ones

3 3/4 inch pockets
5 inch pockets
Old nap cloth
Clay balls
A big cueball
A small cubeball
A heavier CB
A lighter CB
Worn in cloth
Bad lighting
Warped cues
Forced to shoot scotch lefty righty
Opposite hands only
Wear an eye patch
Take three shots of 80 proof 30 min before each match
Allow sharking of various degree
Have the table un level just a liiiittle
Throw in a random 2 dead rails
Have all the pockets randomly be different sizes
Only allow one chalking per game
Rack the balls on random places not on the spot
Draw a ball and play that many rotation
Make everyone play with a carbon fibre cue

I think it would be cool to have some variations like in other sports. Playing on some extremely slow cloth would be interesting to see the effect.
