Most of the pros I work on...prefer softer tips. Most have switched to the Sniper by now...and its what I consider a softer layered tip. It is personal preference though...Nevel uses the softest tip possible...Putnam went from the Sniper back to the Everest because he wanted a bit firmer hit. I think Bryant uses the firmer Everest as well. The only top player I know of who uses a hard tip is former US amateur champion Ron Park. When I asked him why...he said because layered tips are so expensive, the harder ones lasted much longer plus he did not ever have to reshape it.

I used to play with a soft/slow Moori but after playing with the Sniper...I'm very pleased.
