PROBLEM with AzBilliards MAIN PAGE

Hi JAM,

ColdFusion is application/database development tool. It is also one that I do not use but at least I can help you understand 'what' it is.

I am guessing that there were some incompatabilities between the version that was being used to develop the latest changes to the AZBilliards site and the actual execution environment in terms of supported functions. However, not being 'in the know' when it comes to the tool, I can not confirm or validate the statement.

Me too. My wife flew out to New Orleans at 7:00 a.m. this morning and I became SO frustrated with the AZB Error message..... that I started dunking my pizza in my beer.

Could you pass me a wing? Hooter's does make the best chicken wings. I always get the spicy wings. :p

Is there any other kind ? Hooter's is 5 minutes and 34 1/2 seconds from my house...... downwind.
Add another 47 seconds to Krispy Kreme.

Day by day, I find out how much you and I have in common! :p

Hooter wings, Krispy Kreme doughnuts, and Starbucks. It doesn't get any better than that! :D

ColdFusion (no space, heh) is a web development scripting language. It's what I work in every day.

The error being kicked earlier (as it's fine for me when I tried it a couple min ago) had to do with a database connection. Whether the database resides on the same box, or a different physical box, I dunno.

As far as "upgrading" it, whoever said that was referring to having the CF server on the AZB box upgraded. Adobe released the latest version of CF (version 8) a couple of months ago. But that's probably nothing to do with the issue that prompted this thread.

The forum sits on a completely different physical server than the main site, and also, the forum software is PHP based (a different development platform) so any ColdFusion/db issues would not affect the forums.

All appears well now.
