i have a wd700 shaft n i love the stiff hit but this past 2 weeks ive noticed that it lost its stiff hit ...... i hate the way it plays now ... this happened to any 1 else

Wow. That's dramatic. All shafts and tips break in...but......

Have you tried a standard shaft to compare? Maybe it's you?

I've been playing a WD700 for the past couple of months...alternating between the Mezz cue and my Gilbert. I haven't seen/noticed/felt any difference in my WD700 shaft.

Was your shaft new when you started playing it a couple weeks ago, or was it used? If it was used, I would think any "break-in" period would have already occurred...

What kind of tip and has anything happened to the tip (e.g. did you check to see if it's loose)? Reason I ask, I have a Mezz break cue that the tip went flying off of the other day...so, if they use the same adhesive, maybe the tip isn't seated properly...sounds silly I know, but it's worth eliminating...

i've got quite a few mezz shafts and nothing like this has ever happened. i'd check the cue for damage...maybe something with the tip or ferrule. maybe even the joint. something has changed....shafts don't just become not stiff randomly one day

I'll tell you it could be the tip but I have had a shaft(not a Mezz)that felt good for awhile then suddenly hit like a bag of sh!t.It ended up being the ferrule was slowly separating from the wood a bit and from the naked eye I couldn't tell but when looked at real close that was the issue.Maybe your ferrule is loosening on you.Goodluck:smile:

well i just happen to see jason klatt this weekend ...... he said it does seem to b a little bit ( whippy ) but im just gonna try n block it out........ i played with his cue n the mezz shaft on mezz but fells amazing probably the best production cues ive ever played with
