Recently I received some product samples from slipstick, Shaft conditioner & ball cleaner. After testing these products on my own equipment I am happy to say I am very pleased with the results.

The shaft conditioner leaves a silky smooth finish that has lasted now for several days, and quite a few hours of play.

The ball cleaner works very well, removing dirt and chalk buildup very easily, I even tried the shaft conditioner on the cue ball, the finish is awsome, and chalk build up is a thing of the past. overall I rate this product 9.9 out of 10, no doubt worthy of a 10, I did feel they could have sent more of the products than they did.......lol

All I can say,.... send me more! lol :D

I got my little sample the other day, applied it to the cue but haven't had a chance to play yet. Shafts seemed as smooth as always (I'm nutty about keeping them in nice smooth order) and hope it will keep them that way for awhile. Did like how it felt, and plan on ordering some more.

OK, I know that the guy who owns and sells this is a poster on this forum, but the real question is:

Where did you get your free trial samples?;)

I like it too! Nice and smooth.

Donovan, he PM'ed and asked for my address to send it to me. Try PM'ing him; I'm sure he will send you a sample.

i got my free sample and he went all the way and sent it to Singapore... now the thing is... where do i fill up the survey? I'll run a full test this sunday

How do you?

get a free sample? I am not blowing $30 on a shaft cleaner/conditioner
unless I can judge for myself how good it is. If it is that good, I would buy
some, but My Mom is from Missoui, so I have a little 'show me' in me.... lol

How would this compare between q-glide and the other products? Is it similar? Why is one better than the other? I usually just use auto body paper on the shaft to take down any dirt and grime etc, and a Terry cloth style face towel on my hands when they get moist? IS this super wrong of me?

Sorry your pool hall closed. Anyway, it is unlike other products. It is not a concoction nor is any of our products re-packaged ones. Each product has been specifically formulated by chemists to target specific tasks. You no longer need to use other products once you begin using the Conditioner.

So to answer your question, it is not similar to any product and this is why;

Most products need re-applications almost after every day of play because they start to break down immediately. The reason they break down is that they mix with moisture from the air and your hands. The result is that they become tacky grit magnets. You shouldn't use anything on your cue shaft except a good conditioner or expect even worse tackiness.

SlipStic Conditioner remains consistent from 4 to 6 weeks of play if applied correctly. Even though it is in liquid form, it contains no moistures and will not mix with moistures. This product first protects the cue shaft just as quality cue makers condition shafts. Next, it repels grit and moisture and does not break down. It remains consistent from -100 deg F to 500 deg. F. There is no reason to ever use other products once SlipStic Conditioner is applied because this conditioner is considerably more frictionless.

Also, if people like to use a glove, it works incredibly well. Those that like the feel of powder, can continue to use except one small application of powder lasts a long time on the cue shaft. Ideally you will need neither.

The reason for this trial is that we have been working with 3M on a solvent that will work with the conditioner to accomplish 2 tasks;

1. Clean the shaft of waxes, grit and greases
2. Enable the Conditioner to be spread more efficiently using less volume because it is costly

The end result is to have a product that lists for $9.95 instead of $19.95 and also to offer a single use wipe for $1.99 that will last for 4 to 6 weeks without doing a single thing to the shaft.

The convenience of this product is that as you apply it, you are cleaning the shaft. The cleaner will then dissipate completely leaving the conditioner behind. This product is not flammable and contains no alcohol. Alcohol is very bad for cue shafts because it sucks out the protective oils and causes the wood to dry out. This product in no way is harmful to the player, the environment or even the ozone.

SlipStic!

I've been using this product since last May...it's awesome! Pete is great to deal with...this is the best billiard related product ever!, (well recent memory anyway)...got me through a Summer Session in a room with no AC! When I initially purchased, Pete followed up with me by phone to be sure I received the product and was satisfied...when He couldn't ship the full kit He called, let me know of the short stock and sent me additional product for the delay! Can't get better CS than that!

Buy it, it works, you will not be disappointed!

This thread is confusing me. Who is using the new test samples and who is using the current product?:confused:
I ask because I'd like to hear from someone who has used both and who lives in a humid area.
