Professor Deuel

Jedis become "Masters" when their skills riches its full capacity, just like in pool "Master" refer to a pro player.
When a Jedi turns to the dark side it becomes a "Darth". When a "Darth's" skills are completed he becomes a "Lord". There is only one "Sith" who is to be best of the best, the one that can stop others from dying.

BTW
Who would that be in pool world I wonder?

So was the Emporer a Lord or a Master? I forgot, and am too lazy to stick in the DVD and find out?

Have you ever seen how he treats some of the foreign players?

Here is a quote from Ralf Soquet, who is as nice as they come and hardly ever says a bad word about anyone. The reporter knew Deuel was giving Ralf a tough time and sharking him during their match. So they asked Ralf what he thinks of Deuel. After he hesitated a few time trying to think of something nice to say, he gave up and said, "He's an A**hole." I was shocked that you could get Ralf to even say that. I did laugh like crazy though.

Another time, I think he was playing Mika. Deuel was asked by Mika if he could move his chair back a little so he could have some more room to shoot. Deuel said, "No," and just stared at him like, what are you gonna do about it.
I'm sorry, believe what you want, but that is just poor sportsmanship. He's a jerk.

In my perception it was Mika that had a problem in that match, IMO

Emporer was actually the Sith, the one above the Lords.
The same way as a Emporer in Roman Empire.

Actually, "Darth" means "Lord". You'll never hear him called "Lord Darth Vader" because that would, of course, be redundant.

*crickets*

Alrighty. Carry on then.

Man, I am learning all kinds of stuff. And to think I came here for the billiard education. LMAO :)

I don't think so. Its just like a rank. Lord is the highest you can get. Like the one that rules the world for the believers. You see when you turn to the dark side you become a Darth. So when Anakin S. officailly turned to the dark side he was named Darth Vader. The same way as previous apprentice Darth Moore. The next rank for dark side apprentice is Lord. When Darth Vader accomplished his mission by killing everyone he has become Lord Vader.

No hard feeling for anyone. I just find it funny that I make a comment with reasons, and everyone supports him. I mean a lot of posts in a short period of time. But I call for comments about that behavior in those two instances and no one will touch the post for over 2 hours. The ones who did, still didn't really say anything about it.

It just goes to show that people like to make excuses for their heroes. Hey, I'm no exception. I do the same thing for my heroes. I would even bet money, if I hung around Cory, I'd be a big fan. But I still wouldn't condone that type of behavior, especially on TV. People's silence sure make it seem like they admit it was not the right thing to do.

I'm not one for bashing people, but I do not like mistreatment of others. I could of handled the first post better. But just like Earl in the 2004 Skins Game, some things are hard to forget, especially when they are not asking for forgiveness.

It's posts like this where I wish we were still allowed to insult other forum users, because you definately deserve it. If we were still allowed to do that, I would have called you an idiot, a jerk, maybe a few other things. Since I can't, I'm just gonna have to say that you have already proven how clueless you are about Cory. Him and Mika are good friends. You have only provided two instances where Corey may have mistreated other players. I can name some other famous players who have great reputations that have mistreated people many more times than that. It sounds like you just have something against Corey, and you want everyone else to be against him too. Since you are not getting your way, you're acting like a child. What an annoying thread.

You're obviously not the Stars Wars fan that I am. I, uh, mean, no, I believe you are mistaken. Darth is higher than Apprentice, but isn't higher or lower than Sith Lord. In Episodes IV, V, and VI, he is referred to as both Darth Vader and Lord Vader.

Also, Lord isn't the highest rank. That would be Emperor, but the Emperor and Darth Vader are both Sith Lords.

And if we could keep this conversation between us, that would be greeaaat.

Didn't know you were a Star Wars geek Marissa...kewl!!

Well I have watched each episode 50 times or more, so that would qualify me as a fan I guess.
You see a Darth is a new Dark Side apprentice.
Emperor said in Episode I :"I'm sending you my apprentice Darth Moore, he will find your lost ship". He also said in Episode III :"I'm sending you my new apprentiece Darth Vader and he will take care of you"
You are correct that Anakin is referd to both Darth and Lord Vader, however he is now (in episodes IV,V and VI) only Lord of the dark side except for Emperor who is also Lord and the Sith. Also the Emperor is the highest Sith who put everything together by killing his mentor in his sleep (which was mentioned as a legend/story in Episode III).

You must be one of those people who read one post and then attack the poster based on the one you read. You obviously didn't read all the posts. I already stated that I only saw one side on the incidents, mentioned that I would probably like him normally, I agreed that we all have opinions about players based on our experience with them, and that I could be wrong about him. It seems like I already answered all of your complaints, but you didn't take time to find that out before leaping in.

BTW, thanks for pointing out those were mistreatments. I've seen my favorite players do some bad stuff, and was real disgusted with what they did Hell, I've done things I wish I hadn't. I mean none of us are saints.

Next time try looking before you leap.

I'm kinda uncomfortable going further with this conversation, but I maintain my explaination, though I cannot elaborate on the grounds I will look like a bigger geek. Hopefully we can meet someday and watch all the Star Wars movies... but would we watch them in episode sequence or the order in which they were released?

From here on out I would like to be known as Darth Baby's Arm. The Sith Lord with the biggest penis in the Universe. :D

I think I saw that match on TV. To Corey's defense, that was the tightest quarters I've seen at a TV event. They had the players boxed in so that there was only about 7 feet of room between the table and the stands. It seems there's typically at least 15 feet from all edges.
if it's that tight and players feel boxed in then you would think if someone were to ask a person to move .that, that person would without hesitation MOVE..that is just over all courtesy.........

Funny, The whole "Father" thing just doesn't do it for me that way now. LOL Did you ever see 'Reign Of Fire' where they do that seen staged. Those kids reactions makes me smile every time. I'm smiling about it now. I remember seeing that for the first time. I felt just like them.

Nice try.

If you think Corey is arrogant, you've never met him. I've played with him several times and he's always willing to give advice, tips, etc. I know players with half his talent that are twice as arrogant.

I already said I was probably wrong about that. It really makes me like him more to know that! Everyone has been real good in their stories.
