There has been lots of talk on pool statistics.

Is anyone here skilled in programming?

I am trying to develop youth oriented learning activities that include computers and the pool industry.

Anyone want to shoot down the following suggestions:

Creating a webpage to work collect and serve live tournament data to mobile devices

download the free and industry supported software blender to create a 3d model of a pool table

DrDave has created technical videos.

I think creating resources for young people to become a tournament organizers or tournament promoters or even film makers.
Pool has strong roots to film, advertising, alcohol, bars and billiards products. Its unfortunate fashion never fell in to the fold.

the Hustler had such well dressed players. Seeing a fat guy look good in a suit is nice.

I am looking to start a discussion on what things can be added to the online billiard community that doesnt already exist.
I have been listening to the old timers say all the stuff they didnt have when joining the pool community.

Today I think technology is a mystery to a lot of people but post a comment. You know I will post original content, even if its bad.

A great way to learn programming at a young age is the Arduino. May not help for pool but you seemed to ask for two things here. Go to Arduino Projects and the kids will run out of time before getting all the projects done.

Do you not see your dream requires resources?

Without an ultimate goal of some tangible gain, the parties with real knowledge and industry power don't want to play.

There will be no grant sugar-daddy to fuel what the real world sees as a frivolous time-suck, just like there will be no kuhbillioniare to fund a pro your.

Now, how will the world help surfers, rollerbladers and ice skaters...? wood-whittlers and bird watchers want to know if they might benefit from such.

I was in a gang, and the leader was arrested pulling out of the house in the morning. Multiple convicts are related to me.

After joining the pool room, I started to become more social because of it. Its 15 years on this forum with you fossils.

the pool room is where I had role models that actually were good at it. Can you imagine DrDave as a role model for a teenager? hahaha

I learned to talk to women at the pool hall. The servers in the room were the town babes.

I think Mike is working on an image database and is looking for volunteers. Working with an existing site will be easier than starting from scratch. I assume Mike already does some sort of SEO to ensure that Google's indexes favor AZB when people search for pool-related terms.

Likewise I the various leagues have their own free apps?

The CompuSport app does exactly that. It's the cats meow in terms of instant results for matches, and knowing when/where your next match is. Especially in larger tournaments/venues.

Players "report" the outcome of their match to the tournament director by scanning the QR code of the winner, then enter the score. At that point, everything is instantly updated within the brackets. It takes a load of work off tournament directors as well.

I think a way to cheat SEO
is overloading it

suppose we each posted a website with Chris Robinson AZBILLIARDS
I think if a few people with website include pro players name with azbilliards then SEO is bypassed.

someone search chris robinson
the new websites with the matching info will place higher in search result rankings

SEO currently matches wikipedia for pro players. I think beating wikipedia rank returns is reasonable.

I came across that bug a few years ago.
