Before i start ill just say i still havent seen any footage of the WPC , just followed it online.
Everybody on this board has been noticing the strong performance of the Phillipines and other asian countries. Ummmm, didn't Efren seriously dominate all of these players on the Asian 9-ball tour? Didn't he win 3 out of 5 events this year? Events that saw Django, generally considered the second best Phillopino, go out in the first or second round nearly every time? Now the world championships come along and just about every name on that tour had a strong showing. Just goes to show, Efren's still got it. I guess his performance at the DCC earlier this year showed it too, but the WPC reaffirmed it, not by his play but by the play of others who he has dominated in the past. I wonder why he hasn't been able to get it fully together last 8 or 9 years at the WPC, i think his only victory there is in 1995.
