Let me preface by saying I really have no idea how a sponsorship works in the pool world.
Are there any pros that are sponsored by non-billiard related companies? If not, have they ever attempted to get one?
Without knowing how it all works, it at least seems worth the effort to contact a big company and see about getting a small sponsorship. Like a player could reach out to Pepsi, and ask for $X/yr. In exchange the player would put a patch on their case or wear it on their shirt, and give Pepsi X% of their gross earnings.
Just seems like it could be a good way to alleviate some of the additional costs associated with traveling and playing in tournaments.
