Why are so few of the big name pros registered to play in the Diamond Open 10-Ball and Diamond Women's Open 9-Ball events at this years Super Billiards Expo?
Maybe it's just too early and the players lists aren't updated yet. Hope so.
Won't be as interesting without being able to watch some of the world's best players competing in an actual Pro event.
Not to mention the lost autograph and photo ops.

Just over 2 weeks to go now before the start of the tournament and very few top level pros registered for the Pro events.
Is there some organized boycott going on?

Don't even see a link to list the registered entrants. Where did you see one?

I see first will pay $10K-That's probably $5k short to attract anyone other than players close by.

Still Pool Players are notorious for waiting til the last minute to enter especially for that kind of prize and a $525 entry fee. They may get more attractive offers in the meantime but i expect a much better field when all is said and done just not an International one unless the players are already here or getting free travel from sponsors exhibiting at the show.

A few of the local guys that play in it haven't signed up yet. Last Sunday I played one of locals that usually signs up and he said he is waiting to see if they are going to get a full field.

I’m glad to skylar , Strickland and Shaw but no svb? He was just on a big run of tournaments. Maybe he is fishing again.

IDK, to me, that field looks as strong as normal. This event hardly ever gets more than about 1/4 of the field as world class players. This stop is small potatoes on most world class pro's calendar. Always has been, IMO.

I count 9 world level players. Before anyone says the other guys are also world class, feel free to pick any player not on my list to go further than any player on my list. I will bet it. ha ha.

You are missing the MAIL IN REGISTRANTS which is another 12 players as of the end of March SVB, Archer, Corteza and Dominguez are in that list so 53 as of the end of March.

With just under a week to go now the fields are looking a little better.
Seems to still be missing some of the big name crowd from previous years.
But can't wait to see the world beaters that will be there doing their thing!
SBE2018!

hi

Is it only for PRO's? Cant amateur player pay and play against PRO's?

What qualifies you as a pro, what are requirements?

Read the list of players. How many names do you recognize? If you know the names, they are probably "pros".

You ask the $64,000 question. As soon as you figure it out, please let me know. The best minds in our game can not figure that simple question out.

It's a sad state but.............that top prize is enough to attract top players.
It will be a good one as always!
