Mine currently is:
- Assess shot while standing, picking up visual aim and planning CB route
- Drop into the shot paying attention to my alignment (for me CTE line) and visually checking out aim
- Once settled into stance, take 2 - 3 short strokes followed by a longer stroke, all while looking at the CB to dial in english and feel the speed required, when finished looked up at OB to reverify aim while pausing
- If I feel locked in, I shoot, pulling back smoothly (at least I try), slight - medium pause at back of stroke and smooth transition and acceleration into shot.
- If not locked in, I'll take 1 or 2 more strokes and reverify aim. If I'm still not locked in, I might do some further minor tweaking, but I'm trying to force myself to get up, no matter how easy the shot. Sometimes you just don't feel comfortable, and trying not to shoot until there's no doubt I will make the shot - within limits of course, sometimes I feel like I need 5 minutes...
