Why is it that I can't miss with the 20oz, wobbly, POS, Dufferin house cue sitting in my basement? Yet I stink it up with MANY a quality cue. Anyone else ever experience anything similar?

Well I start last year playing with a 20 dollar cue from Sears and then moved on to Scorpoin Cues ( big Mistake ) then my playing cue as of now a Mcdermott is the best that I've played with so fare .

House Cue

Im leaning toward it being magic. I'm going to look at it a little closer for images of grill cheese sandwiches with images of Jesus in the wood grain somewhere:wink:

After you have made a thorough search for the image of Jesus, try looking at the weight distribution. Seems to make a difference to me.:)

I thought of taking it out in the shop and putting a joint pin in it but I don't want to change any of it's properties. It will just be my home table advantage cue:D

Your thoughts are weight distribution are good. I'm going to take some measurements tonight.

Lol, and I thought I was the only other human being who saw that series!

People laughed at me for months after I got my first custom cue. I'd get frustrated with it and snatch a POS house cue off the wall and go to making balls. After learning to play with house cues and playing with them for many years nothing feels as "right" to me as the hit of a good house cue or even a lot of bad ones!

It may be all in my head but I don't want metal or stone in a cue. I think I may be making a mistake even using very hard ferules and joints for my own play.
