Happened to try one by chance just yesterday. My break cue, players with white diamond, kept popping off the tip.
Asked a team mate to borrow his breaker.
He had the pure x jump break.

Immediately it felt good first wack.
I was sold after about 5 tries.

Today I go to the billiard factory and got me one.

I've never been more impressed with any single piece of billiard equipment in my life.

I can now really smack the piss out of the second ball break ,8ball, and the ball stays in the table easily while spreading the balls super well. I mean any power I put in to this break with my other cue, ball goes off the table. Now I can hit it hard, always make a ball.

The jumper I tired out.
Did 3 jump shots, nailed them all with ease. Crazy ease. I have the predator with a white diamond and never has jumping been so damn easy. jump stop, jump draw way to easy

I mean I'm blown away by the pure x.
It's a deadly weapon for my game now. Won ally matches in bca Tonight and finished the night with a sweet 10-0 bnr.
Thanks to this amazing break Jump cue.

I just can't say enough about how damn impressive it is.

A shot of the tip. except mine has a bakelite tip on it, never used it before

Worth every single penny even paying over price at the billiard factory.

I have this one (in black). Got it about 6 years ago. Soon after no less than 5 guys told me “yeah I used to have that, sold it to someone locally”. I never came across one when I was looking for one. Ive only seen one other ever since. Where did they go?

I was making the jump from APA to valley, so the price point and versatility appealed to me. I guess it’s ok, does the job. I’m not good enough nor have any other equipment experiences to compare. But better than a house cue, better than borrowing a teammate’s, and I wasn’t feeling the urge to tote around a jump cue.

I’ve broken it down and shot with the pure x in 3 piece configuration when a regular cue was too long in a friend’s basement or travel league. One of my friends, a prev pure x owner, would prefer the short setup to break. For giggles he tried it with mine and got 23+ on the predator speed app. The only negative for me is the rubber grip does not go well with my case, I have to go pin-down to be able to get it back out.

Once upon a time I think there was a playing shaft (HXT w turbo lock pin) you could get for this?
 
you can buy a cover that lets it slip in the case easy from jbcases.com
people always bring up the rubber grip wearing away, ok when it does ill get another wrap for it. very minor flaw for such an awesome cue

no i just make balls 4 outta 5 breaks now, good enough with a much better spread than a house cue and more opportunities to get out
because changed from a house cue with a hard tip that i used for yrs
to this and its day and night, instantly

good technique with a great break cue > good technique and regular house cue

been proven before my own eyes
 
i feel like people have a placebo effect with new toys. the new things seems better than the old thing until you have new thing for a while then newer thing comes out and is all the rage
