Purpleheart butt with G10 pin?

I've got an M-series cue, with solid purpleheart and a G10 pin, on order from Schmelke. Anyone have experience with this combo?
 
whaddya wanna know? I don't think the pin material changes 'hit' of a cue...though wood type may:eek::wink:.
 
Got it in recently, and I am very happy. It's basically everything I was hoping for. It has that nice purpleheart hit, and there's just something special about a solid, one piece butt. I'm really liking what the G10 pin adds to the mix, as well.

Anyone who wants to try something a little different, without breaking the bank, I suggest giving Schmelke a call.
