"PUSH" and partners

Player 1 pushes. Player 2 says shoot again. Player 1 misses. Does player 2 shoot or can his partner #4 shoot. Is player 2 the next shooter because he told player 1 to shoot. Is he committed to shoot or does it not matter.

The order has to stay the same. #4 doesn't shoot after #1, #2 does. You should never have an option of who gets to play.

But who plays partners, anyhow?

It's a senior geezer league. Our community plays other communities.

If the geezers have rides like that one, might be a very cool league. I think that if the push is given back, that the original shooter/pusher would shoot, not his partner.

If everybody agrees-probably doesn't matter..Geezer rules rule.

Are you guys partners in 9ball? Sounds like you play rotation games, where a push is involved. We play partners 8ball, 1&15 in sides. That's all we play.

I still say that, based on the scotch doubles tourneys I've played, the player who gives it back has to be the incoming player and has to shoot after the breaker.

Definitely something that should be ironed out and agreed upon by the league members.
