I think, though, that if you come in third through sixth place at an IPT qualifier, that you will still receive a paid entry fee to an upcoming IPT qualifier event.
One thing that would be of TREMENDOUS assistance to IPT members, prospective IPT members, and all interested parties would be to institute a POC (point of contact) on the IPT website for information and inquiries. If an inquiring e-mail is sent to the links provided on the IPT website and there is no response, it creates confusion and uncertainty in the mind(s) of the sender, whether they are an IPT member, a prospective qualifier player, or an interested party.
Craig, are you still interested in participating in the IPT tour, at least by way of qualifier? Most of the current qualifiers are in Europe. Last place in Reno pays $5,000, which would cover the cost of the $1,500 entry fee to the IPT qualifier and maybe travel expenses to and from.
Or, are you now employed and have no interest whatsoever in participating on the IPT tour, but continue to seek information for prospective players whom you know in an effort to help them?
Just curious! No tree-hugging or bun fights intended!![]()

TheOne said:I agree about the poc, I would rather contact the IPT direct but a) they don't seem to reply (Im sure they've got better things to do), and b) if it's done through the forum, many more people get to share the information which probably helps the IPT anyway.
TheOne said:As for me, probably somewhere between the two options. I'm employed and have limited holidays, but, YES, I am hoping to play on the IPT. Currently in the process of buying a property and hopefully purchasing my own table. I am limited in holidays and with 3 euro tour events plus the US Open and WPC coming up before the end of the year I have to pick and choose sadly.
I couldn't get time off for the first qualifier so there seems little point in playing in the second, but the main reason is I've hardly played since returning home from the 14.1 event as buying a property sure is time consuming!![]()

PR? Gimmick?
pure advertising.
Do you really think KT is giving money away?
JAM said:A point of contact would definitely ease the work burden of the IPT staff to date. As the IPT is a new entity and has made GREAT strides IMHO, making everything happen (FIRST CLASS, BTW), a designated POC would be a godsend. I know that the IPT staff is dedicated and devoted to making this tour topnotch.
Good luck to you on purchasing property. That's one big step which I hope will bring you happiness and a secure future.
I'm glad to hear you're still playing. It's a shame you have to pick and choose which tournament to attend due to logistics. I hope you make the right decision which will benefit you personally. This pool sure is a tough racket.![]()
Me, in case you haven't noticed (LOL), I'm pro IPT. However, I have an "existing" career and have had to make tough decisions which will affect me personally traveling the IPT tournament trail.![]()
I hope to see you at the U.S. Open in Virginia, come this September.![]()
