Quality Cues no trust

Hi Kevin:

You hit the nail on the head. I shipped a guy half way around the world a MINT, and I MINT, Tascarella cue -- no dings, dents or scratches whatsoever. He never says a word about any dings in any of the three pieces. When I get the cue back, there were sizeable dings in the shaft that Rudy played with. Imagine that? The cost to repair was $60.00. I offered to ship the cue back to him at my expense, and he declined. He instructs me to deduct $60.00 from what I owe him for the purchase price and wire him the difference, which I do that day. After he gets paid, he complains. Go figure. If he had any issue with the cue when he received it, that was the time to take the matter up with me. There was no issue becuase the cue was perfect, just like every other cue I have ever shipped. If he did not like it, he could have returned it, but he chose to accept it and never complained until after he was paid. Stay away from this guy!

Mike

I just don't understand roasting you for not addressing a situation that you weren't informed about, and then bringing it up now in a "sour grapes I didn't get what I wanted" thread.

Thanks

Kevin

1) Mike Gartland must have noticed the two small dings when he had the Tascarella cue. he couldn't have missed the dings with the way he inspects the cues. He knew about the dings and he shipped the cue to me without mentioning it. the only reason to me is "he thinks those are just two tiny dings". when i traded the cue back to him, why did i have to pay for the dings that he gave me ?

2) the cue was packed with 100% protection and it had reached to safe & sound. The tube box looked like new. It could not be damaged during the international shipment.

3) i did not ding the cue.

4) i'm very sorry that Mike Gartland did not give me a fair deal like he's given to other 114 people.

i'm not a cue dealer.
i'm just a pool lover and cue lover.
i'm not here to set up any enemy.
i'm just telling a story that happened to me.

thank you ~

You should have brought those dings to Mikes attention when you first received the cue. Also you DID NOT tell him that they were there when you returned it.How about accepting personal accountability, and saying,Ya know,I should have told Mike right away. And then when he got them back he was surprised and he (Mike) did the right thing.Be responsible for your own actions and poor choices, and stop playing "the blame game" and blaming others.Accept responsibility and "own" your actions.STOP blaming others.
Just my $.02

Your word is good every time or it isn't.
No one reallly cares about how many good transactions anyone has.
It's the bad one or two or three that stink up a reputation.
Best regards,
Nick:)

great catch, Mike.

great catch, Mike.
it was my big mistake not mentioning the dings when i received the Tascarella cue from you. i accepted the cue 'cause i thought they're small dings. i also assumed you thought they're small dings or you would not have shipped the cue to me. In fact, they are really small dings.
if they are big dings, how could they pass your expert inspection when you bought the cue ?

i'm sorry wasting other AZB member's time.
i'll stop replying to this post.
sorry again.

I bought 2 cues from Mike, the 1st one I needed help from a fellow AzBer in Vietnam, Mike sent the cue to him, and the 1st thing I asked my friend is to record a video of unboxing the package and examining the cue.

The 2nd cue Mike shipped directly to me, and I also recorded a video unboxing and examining the cue. there was a minor issue, I contacted Mike right away and sent him the video, we exchanged emails in a constructive manner and Mike did his best to explain things to me and we came to a solution I cannot hope for a better one.

I am not analyzing or discussing Mike's deal with Rudy, I am just stating my experience and again, saying that I am fully satisfied with my deals with Mike. I even asked him about a couple of cues he had in his possession, but he traded them already. I will not hesitate to buy cues from MIke in the future if he has what I want.
