quality of new Fellini 2x2 cases?

What is "authentic Veg-tan crocodile leather"? They seem to be from Indonesia, so I suppose they could actually be crocodile. There is a lot of bovine hide that is crocodile embossed.

I wonder if they have any sort of permission to use the brand name.
