OK....not to be a smartass but the ID is printed on the cue.

It's a promotional item. Not the worst quality, not the best, but as promo cues go this is one of the better ones. GCue sourced cues from multiple suppliers I believe. Don't know who made this one, maybe Viking? Not McDermott.

Thanks Doc, will look again I just couldn't find anything on G Ques, Tahms for the link I'll check out.

Really?

They are on the Blue Book web site.

http://bluebookofpoolcuevalues.com/pool_cue_values/Pool_Cue_Manufacturer.aspx?id=GCUE

https://www.darts.com/dmi-darts

Unlikely you will find much in the way of specifics about such a promo cue.

If I had to bet on who made this one I would say Viking. Contact them. One of there reps is a member here and will check for you if you ask. I don't remember their AZB name but shouldn't be hard to find.

A lot of that old info was lost when Viking went out of business, they re-opened of course...but it seems some records were lost. Viking made many cues that were re-branded.

Thanks, I probably stick it a case and under the bed and think it's cool again in a few years LOL

I think it's a cool bar cue...who can argue with JD in a bar?

JD collectors might like it. And even some of the guys that collect the low end pool cues will like it. It looks to be in nice shape.

FYI it's probably as good as the McDermott version of the same appearance, except you get the lifetime shaft warranty with the McD...

If you see a McD J30 cheap, grab it...people pay stupid money for those. I have seen them go for up to $700...they were $750 new.
