Question about betting

Heres one that happened at my pool room I play at. What would you do in this situation??
The room closes at 2:00 A.M.. The guy behind the counter closed the doors but let the players play all night until 10:00. A.M. in the morning. One guy wins $10,000.00...He tips the guy who stayed there, serving sodas and water and food, etc., all night so they could gamble, $100.00....Do you think that is enough????
Then the next day the owner finds out about the big score and tells the $10,000.00 winner he wants a cut or don't come back and gamble there anymore.....
Curious to the responses.......This really happened.....

It seems to me that the guy that stayed open all night should have stipulated beforehand how much he should get for staying open regardless of the amount won. The owners should be entitled to some money to cover the electric bill. This is my opinion, how do other people feel about it?

Wow, I'd probably tell the guy to go back to Canada and stop whining...SYOTT Marc

I assume you mean the guy that won the $$$$ right? If so, he probably likes it here just fine having made such a nice score.

The only time I ever bet on someone was at Valley Forge in the "pit." Usually I am betting on whoever is taking most of the action, so it changes frequently. However, one year Jason Kirkwood was on a roll and he won me around $60 - $100 ($20 bets). When he finally lost I gave him $20. He seemed pretty appreciative.

I think you did the right thing JDB. It's what I would have done.
