i got a kim steele used table a few months ago. The guy i got it from had about 8 of them, i told him to bring me the best looking stuff he had but when he got there and was installing it, on of the pieces of slate was broken. The piece would be on the short rail, right before you get to the corner pocket, where there is a hole for where the rail attaches, that lil area had a crack in it all the way down (the wood underneath was fine), and the hole for where the rail attaches is in the broken area. Well its underneath the rail (not on the playing surface), but i still mentioned it to the guy. He said it was no problem, and he filled the crack with superglue and then went ahead and covered it. Im paranoid about it now lol, does it matter? Will it break off one day? Should i make him bring me another piece of slate when it comes time to refinish the table? If it was to break off one day for some reason would it be fixable? Im just worried 10 years from now something will happen and i wont be able to use the table anymore.........advice?
