Question about fishing line for wrap

Question for the cue builders:

Take a look at the attached picture. It appears to resemble dacron, but in a light blue spot. My question is, how is dacron as a wrap? I really, really like that light blue, but have no idea how, or if it could work.

Thoughts?

Does not glue well

Stits Poly-Tak?
Could be messy, and it is pink, though.

Also, Dacron can be heat shrunk. Dunno if that is a good or bad option for cues. Needs controlled process to avoid a mess. (to avoid over tightening or random variable tension)

Here's some vintage blue speck if you want linen that glues up well

Random useless fact.

Green speck cortland was for salt water fishing, while blue was used for freshwater.

What glue is recommended for linen wrap?

I prefer the common Elmers white glue rather than the stick glue.

It applies to the cue thick but you can use a bit of water to get it to penetrate into the linen and that will hold the wrap nice and tight for a very long time.
