question about Huebler taper

I recently got a huebler cue and it plays and hits really well. The only issue with the cue is that the tip is greater than 13mm in diameter, closer to 13.2. I would really like to get it taken down to around 12.75 or 12.5 if at all possible. However, I dont want the taper to change from what Mr. Huebler did originally. I was wondering if there is a way that that can be done? Or if they start to take the diameter down will they have to use their own taper?

What I was trying ot figure out, or thinking about was if I send it off to Jacoby or RAT cues and asked them to sand it down, would they be able to keep the same taper just taking off .7mm of would consistently around the shaft?

If they do it by sanding and not cutting on a taper bar it should be no problem to maintain the original taper flow in the new smaller diameter.
