Hi All,
I have a chance to buy a Southwest cue on the secondary market, but don't know quite what to offer. I know what the value tends to be for the standard SW with the veneered hi-lo points into birdseye, etc., but this one's a little different. It has an ebony forearm with six even length points made of a very orange wood (right now, I'm assuming it's a goncalo alves wood - I've got a call in to Laurie to confirm). It doesn't have veneers and only one ring set, which is not your typical long/short version. These are bigger and blockier. The ring is at the E position. It was made in '97, and has been played regularly, but the owner has kept it in beautiful shape. I wish I had pictures to post, and I'm not looking for an exact price, just a good ballpark... Help!
Thanks!
Steve
