i'm not sure if i'm in the correct thread or not , i alway's wanted to know..some cue got some really unique sound after hitting the object ball with the cue, is that have to do with the shaft or the tip??

You should concentrate on hitting the CUE ball instead of the OBJECT ball. Work on that and when you have that wired, worry about the noise of the cue stick.
