Question about Tip Diameters for Jump & Break Cues

Regulations say no larger than 14.0 mm, and I am wondering if I order a Jump Break cue to my specification to match my playing cue what would be the best Tip Size to get 13.0mm, 13.25mm, 13.5mm,13.75mm, or 14 mm? Advantages, disadvantages?

Tip size

With Breaking and Jumping, bigger the better, so 14mm is best. You need a stiff shaft for a solid hit, and 14mm provides that. Also, depending on tip put on it, you will not want the tip to have much height, as a flatter tip is better for breaking and jumping, IMO.

More important than mm size is shaft taper & stiffness. If the j/b is built correctly with a quality shaft & parts, then 13mm will work as well as 13.5 or 14mm.
14mm was the best choice back when j/b tips were leather, as the leather tip needed as much help as possible.
