I have always wanted to get a conversion done of a titlist that ends up wrapless. Are all Hoppe Titlist cues full spliced? Or is this something unique to the linen wrapped models?
If they are all full spliced, would the depth of the leather wrap groove present a problem on conversion to getting a relatively normal butt diameter?

Thanks in advance for sharing your expertise :)

Yes, all original Titlist cues are "full spliced," and yes, a leather wrapped starting cue will prevent you from ending up with a wrapless cue, unless you re-splice a larger diameter handle section (which most likely won't match the wood grain of the original cue) or unless you want a very small diameter handle. Practically speaking, if you want a wrapless Titlist cue, you have to start with a wrapless Titlist which has a large enough diameter to sand or cut down to your desired finished diameter and taper.

the brunswick titlest is basically a 26 1/2 with a leather wrap. find one of those and you'll have what your looking for

Some of the Hoppe cues with wrap may be able to be converted into a wrapless cue. Many of them are pretty fat already and by moving the points up toward the joint a few inches it may allow it be become wrapless. But this will require adding a few inches of wood to the back end like a butt sleeve.

The Brunswick Titlist didn't have a leather wrap at all. The Willie Hoppe Professional was the two piece Titlist with a leather wrap.

please correct any mistakes, thank you

these fellows know much more than i do when it comes to this subject.
However, there were several different woods used.
some were Mahogany, others were Ebony, PurpleHeart and of course Rosewood or Cocobolo.

ya, but it was kinda hard for me to figure out what he was asking. the titlist has no wrap so why is he worried about the linen or leather groove? i wasn't trying to get technical but you are correct..:)
