Question for any fans of Dale Perry cues, or fans of his older cues from the 90's?

There is a Dale Perry cue up for auction on eBay, and it is signed with the # 96 next to his signature.

If there are any fans of his cues on here , then I would like to ask you how much you think the cue is worth?

I had one of his older uni lock cues a few years ago, and I really liked the way it played.

This one on eBay looks pretty nice I think (compared to his cheap eBay cues).

Anyways, am just curious how much the cue might be worth to anyone who might be planning on placing a bid on that cue?

Have any of you seen how much one of his older uni lock cues sold for on here or on eBay?

Does anyone think the white inlays might be ivory?

Just curious. I do not know.

I would not want to over pay for the cue, but I am interested in it.

Thanks for any opinions on it.

It has what looks like a cheap import shaft with it and some finish issues.

Figure a new shaft (you like how a DP playe then you want a DP shaft IMHO) and new finish basically chewed up most of the value right there.

It does not really need a refinish I think, but it is far less than perfect. Some of that would likely polish out.

But still, I don't think it's worth a heck of a lot.

Never played with one. Knew a guy who loved the look of his cues, bought one and played one night with hit as he hated the hit.

Was it one of his older Uni Lock customs, or was it one of his newer Radial pin cues? The one I had that I really liked, had a Uni Lock joint, and I really liked it. I have had several of his newer Radial pin ebay cues, and I did not like them. The Uni Lock one I had his pretty nice though. I thought it might be worth a $200 bid, but I think it will probably sell for more then that.

I do not like DP's newer shafts. He puts a very stiff taper on his shafts (not my style), and these days, I do not think he really has the time to put a really good taper on a shaft for me. I never cared about the condition of the finish on a cue (just so the shaft is nice and smooth, and the wrap feels okay, then I am happy). I like a nice super long taper on my shafts though (think Meucci style taper, which is 16 or 18 inches long?).

I have no idea.
