Question for Fast Larry

Saying you do not like a person's personality and tearing down their reputation are two different things.

I do have copies of billiards digests from 1999 and 2000, where Larry's accomplishments,including his appearances on Ripleys and a mention of some kind of championship are documented. If you want iron clad proof, Ken, go ahead and spend the 10-15$ to get these back issues, if they are available at all. I looked this up on the site. The main article is in the Feb 2000 issue of billiards digest. There are also articles about Larry in Pool and Billiards Magazine in March 2000,several appearances on Ripley's Believe it or not over a several year period,etc. Need I go on?

I do not have the time to verify the truth of the copies I have. If you have that kind of time, go for it. It would be timely and costly.

Now, if you have a problem with Larry's personality, I am sure that you are not alone. But to say that he is a liar and a fraud, without ironclad proof is pretty low and unethical.

What's the big deal? Like Jake says, "Get a life!" In the big scheme of things, how important is this? For most of us here, me included, pool is a hobby. Very few of us make a living at this game and we do it because we enjoy it. You're taking away a lot of that enjoyment because you're getting too personal. Besides, there seems to be more evidence, according to the previous posts, to indicate that Larry is legitimate. This makes you look worse than Larry, can't you see that? Just let it go.

No offense. Blackwolf is a good wolf too. He posts on playpool and ccb and is a friend of mine. Blackwolf is not rackmup. He is someone who also likes Fast Larry.

The importance of this is an individual judgement. Personally, I would no more seek to impose my values on Ken or anyone else than I would suffer having your values being imposed on me. How important any particular issue is can and will vary widely between different persons. Have you ever noticed that?

May I assume you meant to insert the word "my" in between "that" and "enjoyment"; or are you assuming to represent all participants of the forum?
