What adhesive do you use to attach slate liner to the slate? I have tried a few different ways and I am curious what everyone else uses.

I have used regular Titebond 2 wood glue. Takes a while to dry but its solid when its done.

Hey pat' good to see you around, the PL premium is a construction adhesive that is a good strong product and sets up quick. I've used it often years ago on wet n frozen boards-as they suggest' Ive used it on a boat years ago and still fish outa that boat today. I would think titebond wood glue will work but you would have to clamp the crap outa it over night for drying/curing.

Figure liquid nails or PL premium, it sets up quicker than wood glue.
stay away from a resin glue< unless you like the smell of 3M-10.

Home Depot, lowes, etc. It comes in a tube and used with a caulk gun. If I'm doing a wide surface I'll use a bead or 2 and spread it out moderately thin with a putty knife. It needs to be clamped to make the two surfaces tight to each other as its pretty thick.
