Question for Morri Tip users.

I have One Cue that has Morri Mediums Tips on it, and (1) of the Tip is doing a Weird thing.

Normally when I am done Playing, I take a SOFT COTTON RAG and Wipe off all the Excess Chalk on the Tip, or Spin the Tip on a Piece of Carpet to Remove the Excess Chalk.

Normally what I see is almost like a NEW TIP that has never been Chalked.

Lately one of the Tip appear to have been picking up the color of the Chalk, or is IMPREGNATED with Chalk into the Tip.

Tip works well, would appear to have Hair Like Fibers protruding out of it like a 5 O Clock Shadow.

All I use to rough up my Tips is a Tip Taper, a Gentle working with a Tip Pick, or 220-300 Grit Sand Paper.

Any feed back for me. Or suggestion on the Morri’s, as they have been on this Cue for 3 years, and have many many hours of Play on em.

I have been using the Morri soft for three years now and keep the sides polished with black majic marker. It keeps the sides hard and I like the contrast. I never use anything else on the tip to shape it other than properly applying chalk.

Not to be smart or anything, but are you positive the tip in question is a real moori? There are fake moori tips from China and Taiwan and perhaps that is the reason for the problem. Just a thought, as I have never seen a problem with any of the true Japanese mooris. Of course it could just be one bad tip, I'm sure there have been some that did not hold up for one resaon or another. I get mine from Joe Neilsen great guy and competitive prices.
