Question for people with SB Expo experience

Hi everyone. I'll be going to SBE for the first time, but I'll only be there for one (long) day: Saturday.

Question: If you were going for one long day, but you weren't going to play in any of the tournaments, would you still bring your pool cues? Also assume that you don't need any maintenance work done on your cues, and you're not a vendor.

I just don't know if I want to lug around my 3x5 Instroke if I'm not in a tournament. Thanks!

I always bring the case.....I did last year and played some in the "pit"

plus you never know what you might find to trade, buy, sell....

see you there1:D

Been there several times, and would say that unless there is a reason to bring them (possible trade, repair, get info, etc...) you shouldn't. I have see many people lose cues due to carelessness and others were simple unfortunate to have there cues stolen.

play some

There should be some coin-op diamonds available for small action
or just for funsies.
Better to be prepared I always say.

I always go for the whole event but I would recommened only bring them if you are in need of work or want to sell or trade. If the urge to play in the pit comes over you you can always grab something cheap to hit some around with.

If you want to make a purchase bring them for a possiable trade of quick sale. If you do not want a new cue or do not want to play any money games leave them home. Enjoy your first time. The expo is like drugs becouse you come one day this year and you will stay all week next year. I am in my 7th year or so arriving on wend and leaving sun night. have fun. Joe

I would bring one cue in a small case. That way if you get the bug to play then you have a cue with you. For places that have games they will often have cues available for you to use.

Such as the Fury Experience at the Sterling Pavilion (wink). Don't miss that on your long Saturday.

You should also remember that the expo opens at 11am and closes at 8pm. The time will fly by so try to be there early to get the full experience. There is a lot to see and do.

Thanks everyone.

Thanks everyone. Very useful information.

I'll bring a cue I'd like to trade in and carry it in my old, beaten-up, falling-apart Guiseppe case. If anyone steals that case...good! I could probably set it by the trash and still find it there a week later.:)
