I used to play a roadie from Knoxville ( 1992 ERA) his name was Roger. Someone told me he had liver problems and passed away. Does anyone remember him. Never knew his last name. Nice guy.
Tall skinny guy with darkish hair combed over? I can't think of anyone else you might be talking about except Roger Wray. He played good and traveled around playing quite a bit. I can't confirm he died, last I heard he was still kicking.Seneca Steve said:I used to play a roadie from Knoxville ( 1992 ERA) his name was Roger. That old cue had a Elk Master tip that was barely there. Every time he needed a tip he would put on another one and whittle it down til it was thinner than a dime. He used that old Heubler pretty good though. Which tournament was it Jim, Oneida?JG-in-KY said:Yeah, Roger played real good. Someone gave me a tip to buy him in the calcutta one time. I got him for around $100 and he snapped the tourney of for about $1100 in the auction. It was a good day. He played with a worn out Huebler Sneaky Pete that sounded like it miscued every other shot. I tried to get him to play with my Southwest but he said he really liked his cue. LOL
