It must be regional or tournament special rules, but is it typical in bank pool to allow 3 rail kicks? I have seen it in a few video clips lately and had thought that banks just meant banks not kicks. Are 3 rail kicks the norm now?

No, this is NOT typical.
 
Question: Is it legal to kick at an object ball and then bank it in after the kick?
 
So there are just special rules at some of the tourneys? I saw a video of banks at DCC and it looked like they allowed for it. Is it just to make the games go faster? As a T.D. do you make these kind of rules decisions Jay?
Just curious. I don't see a problem with it either way, I just have started to play that game a little...just friendly games and have debated this.

DCC only allowed the 3 or more rail kick shots in the bank ring game to speed it up, when you are in the ring game playing safe is not an option as in a regular bank game where safety play is critical.

I should have said its to give the incomming player some kind of shot, if there is no bank, he can kick to pocket a ball, so the speed thing is not the reason.
