Question for the NorthEast/Tri State Area crowd

do not know where to ask this but I figured this is the best forum to. Anyone surprised that there are virtually no pro events in the area? I'm not talking about Matchroom/Predator produced events, but a 2 or even 1 day event for the local pros? I know the area has a lot of top level A+/shortstop/pro level players. I see that the Ginky Memorial is coming up but I have not seen a pro tournament announced for it yet.

There used to be plenty of NY/NJ area events but I think the tour Tony Robles did stopped happening which cut out a lot of events. There is a Joss tour, which has a good number of events a year.

And of course the turning stone twice a year events which are always great..but yeah, outside of that everything else is amateurs. I guess since Tony left noone has taken those reigns.

Tony Robles used to run the Predator Pro-Am tour. It's my understanding not enough players came out for the Sunday pro tournament, where everyone plays even, so he had to discontinue it.

Sad to say but pool in New England is nothing like it was when I grew up there. I know that is true everywhere but the NE region got hit harder than most...
