Question if you have ever owned, or own a Dennis Swift Cue Case

I have been looking at the Dennis Swift Case photos on this forum archives, and have contacted Mr. Swift, but am undecided about ordering one of his 2 x 4 Cue Cases with the (2) Pockets.

Dennis?s prices seem reasonable, and he offers a few option for a reasonable price. But as of late there seems to be a lot of Swift Cue Cases changing hands on this forum.

If you have owned, or own a Dennis Swift Cue Case, and would like to share your like and dislikes about your Swift Cue Case I am all ears.

I have had a couple. Classic tooling, heavy leather, nothign special about the construction, felt lined tubes. Kinda heavy and bulky in my opinion but they have reassuring heft to them.

I don't like the felt lined tubes - and I mean the fuzzy craft felt. That may have changed since I owned mine.

Dennis has been around forever and doesn't get a lot of mention. If you like a case with nice thick saddle leather and a classic tooling style then go for it.

Got one for sale right now. ONLY reason I am selling is a recent Justis purchase. Well built, well tooled, I am pretty happy overall. My only gripe is that the shafts can't go down joint end first. Happy otherwise. PM me if you are interested in a great deal on a 2x4 brown case!

Dennis Swift Case

I bought a 3x6 and 2x4 cases from Dennis about two months ago. They are by far one of the most well made cases on the market. They are not as fancy as a Jack Justice cases. But for the money you can not bet a Dennis Swift case.

Swift cases are heavy than normal becuse he use thicker leather, as compared to other cases such as Instroke, Justice. But in the long run that swift case is going to last a lot longer because it is built like a tank.

Dennis is a very nice guy and easy to work with. His trun around time is very fast for being a custon case.

My Swift case - 3x5

I bought one about a month ago, and liked it very much. the work is nice, and the case is a TANK! But I just throw my cases in the closet, and after a week and a few white marks from my closet on the case, I realized I just want one I can throw around, and not cost me as much. Too nice for my tastes -I just needed my old black vinyl case, since my cues are not the greatest. Sad when your cues are worth less than the case:p Unless you want to tie the cues to the case to protect it. So I am trying to sell it for $280 shipped. Posted on the For Sale section, and somebody has committed, but haven't heard from them since, so I will give it a day and it will be back on the market. Great case for a great price.
, even if you get one from Dennis himself.
