Question on Cored Cues

Well, looks to be exactly as you thought, a simple veneer wrapped over the cue. That's not a bad thing, just different. Like I said, I think it's cool.

With an endorsement from Mr. Crisp, seems like the cuemaker would be proud! Why hide?

veneers or coring?

A few years back, I had bought out a cuemakers inventory. After 30 years he decided he had enough. While down there in El Paso telling stories we were discussing our construction processes. After telling him how a lot of us were gun drilling and coring, and him telling me that he was wrapping a veneer around the forearm .....both of our jaws were just hanging there staring at each other in disbelief. At the time I thought he was crazy and I'm sure he thought the same for wasting all that exotic hardwood instead of just a veneer.
So I guess my point is it has been around or done before and obviously has worked. To each his own. ;)
