question on mcdermott pool cue

I have a mcdermott pool cue that ive had for years. It was given to me by my dad. I hardly know anything about it besides that it was bought around the 1970s-1980s. If anyone could give me some information on it i would appreciate it

I'd need to see a better picture of the entire cue, but from the rings and the stain, I would guess that iit is a McDermott D1 or D4 - circa 1984.

Post a picture of the bottom (butt end) of the cue if you can just to be sure.

I vote for D1, I have a D3 myself and think it plays nice. I know somebody that collects some of the D24 Models, they look great!

The cue is a D-1 with honey maple stain. It was available in all the McD colors.

Thanks guys...now I know exactly what I just picked up in an area pawn shop...a D-1 with a Porper 1X1 case with the McDermott emblem on the pocket.

Wish I could shoot as well as it hits...it really has a nice feel.

McD's play great. I used to play with an old D series. They hit as good as any..
