Anyone who has experienced the hit and feel of the old original moori tips vs the newer Morri 3's, and would care to comment, would be appreciated.

I played with the old model Moori Slow tips for quite a while until I ran out of spare tips. I ordered some of the new Moori Slow tips and I was very surprised to find out they were not the same. The new Moori Slow tips hit like a medium hard tip to me and I liked the softer hit of the original Moori Slow tips. I've switched to Sniper tips and they are the closest tip i've found to the original Moori Slow tips.......

old vs new

the old moori tips seemed to hold their shape better, longer, than the new ones (mushrooming) and the new tips seem to be hardening with age requiring more tip pik maintenance to hold chalk better.

I do like playing with moori medium tips, have been for a long time. I did recently, however, at the advice of my cue repair expert, installed a kamui black soft on one of my players and it feels very comparable. He says he has received lots of praise and no reports of mushrooming with the kamuis.

Worth noting also is there are many reports of counterfeit mooris (and I'm sure other brands) floating around so you have to be wary. I did purchase my latest batch of mooris from a very reputable source a few years ago so I'm hoping what I have is authentic.

That's what I know.

I used the old orig. Moori Med's for a long time.

I started using the new Moori Med's and did not like them at all.

Now I use Milkduds from Pooldawg and really like them.
