Question on "throw".

As far as I know, only sidespin or cutting the ball produces throw. Pretty sure there has to be some "sideways" movement of the cue ball's surface across the object ball's surface to "throw" the object ball sideways.

Putting draw on a cue ball can transfer a bit of top/follow to an object ball. Occasionally useful if you want to follow that OB into a pocket behind another ball, but I don't know if that's what you had in mind and I don't know that I would necessarily call that "throw"...

When you use top spin or back spin on the cue ball, does it produce throw on the object ball?
If you play a shot with draw, it will make the cue ball jump slightly, which is kind of throwing it up. Using follow or draw on a cut shot will cause it to throw (in the usual sense) less than for a stun shot.
