Question on Used Table Price

New to the forum and excited to get my first table!

That said, I recently struck a deal on a used Olhausen Santa Ana on Craigslist. It is approximately 6 years old and the seller claims there is not a scratch on it and was rarely ever used. If this is the case, the agreed upon price is 1800 cash. I am wondering if this is in the ballpark of a reasonable price for this table. The pictures look outstanding and I'm going to see the table in person this week.

Just wanted to get some opinions on this from some more experienced folks. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum.

I had a big reply typed up then my computer crapped the sheets, but you're getting robbed at $1800 on that table. It retails at $2900 new and the market is flooded with similar, hardly used furniture type tables. You should easily be able to find a motivated seller for well under $1000. Resale on a furniture table is pretty low.

Welcome to the forum. First thing to remember, take peoples advice with a grain of salt as there are alot of no it alls. The Santa Ana retails around 4800, 6 years ago on sale probably sold around 3200-3500. 1800 may be a bit high but 1500 for that table if in excellent condition would be a fine price if that's the type of table your interested in. Craigslist may be flooded with cheap tables but not alot of higher end furniture tables. If your new to pool and getting your first table that's great we need more of you, but your now in the land of barboxes, diamonds and gold crowns, you will never get a fair opinion on a furniture table.
