just got my can of David Hodges Quick Clean spray cleaner for the table. but i do have a couple of questions. and before anyone jumps on me here, i did search this forum to try and find an answer, but failed to see any.

so, my questions are:
1) will this Quick Clean affect the balls any? this stuff sprays everywhere, and you would have to get all the balls out of the pockets and away from the table to keep the spray from getting on them
2) will this Quick Clean affect the wood in any way on my Gold Crown IV? again, it seems almost impossible to keep this spray for somewhat getting on the mahogany.

thanks for any advice,

DCP

I have cleaned hundreds if not thousands of tournament tables with Quick-Clean and have never seen any adverse effects to the table or balls. However, most of the time I remove the balls and clean them seperately.

quick clean

I always remove the balls from the pocket before spraying quick clean. The spray goes into the pockets and I wipe the pockets out. What's the point of having clean balls and cloth, if the balls are just going into a dirty pocket.

I also have a GC4 and I think the QC does a good job taking out the fingerprints on the rails. I don't think the rails are real wood, but a mahogany colored synthetic material. In any case, I've been using QC for a few years with no ill effects.

The top rails on your table are FORMICA, not wood. The skirts are wood and don't really need to be cleaned very often..........

I put the balls into 2 pockets and stuff paper towel on top so the stuff doesn't get on the balls...then use the paper towels to wipe off the top rails.

I can see where a person might think that when one first sprays it..it won't harm anything..if u think you got some on the balls then that's ok i leave them be sometime and sometime i just buff all of them off...you will really like that stuff..after the first spray you will feel more comfortable..enjoy your refreshed like new table now..Merry Christmass:)
