quick rep question

I have been trying to give positive rep to an AZ member whom I have given rep to recently. I keep getting the message that I must "spread some Reputation around" before giving it to this member again. I must have given rep to at least a dozen other AZ'ers and I still get the same message. Anyone know how many others must get rep before you can give it again to a member? Thanks in advance.:)
 
I think you have to give it to me first, then it allows you to spread it more. :thumbup:

Nah, I really have no idea. Maybe there is a time limit factored in there too?

I don't know how many rep's you have to give out between the two to the same person but the same person gave me rep twice about two days apart so the time limit isn't much. I thought about a dozen rep's in between would let you hit a person again but it may have changed or I may be mistaken.

I've had the same problem giving REP to SmorgassBored.

It could be that we are just too generous with our REP to SmorgassBored. :D :D :D

Obviously we are too generous to Smorg. If he didn't make me laugh out loud at least once I day I wouldn't do it. On the other hand, we must be getting stingy with JoeyA. I just went to the members list to see if you were still in your almost perennial second place and see that you have slipped to fifth. I'd demand a recount and look out for hanging chads!

I still say start the Rep from zero again maybe every two years- there are people on here who have amazing rep and they far from desrve it. Now that some of these people have been here long enough to reveal their true character, I think we should have a chance to right things. If it keeps going the way it is now- Everyone will have 11 greenies. Stop the madness!!:smile:

BLASPHEMY !

A much better idea is that whenever a member's Rep reaches a point that it is worth 500 points, that their green rep boxes are turned to Gold and they are 'retired' from Rep... imo

Dave, I have often thought that what might be a more meaningful metric for rep would be a member's rep/posts ratio. That way, it would be more of a measure of the quality of a member's posts and less a measure of how long they have been a member.:yeah:

Btw, I just noticed that AZB currently has 15,346 Registered members and over 15,000 of them have NEVER given me green Rep. WHAT'S UP WITH THAT ????

With the 4th of July quickly approaching, I think the patriotic thing to do, would be for each of them to GIMMIE SOME GREEN REP..... dammit !

There you go-That would be another solution. Without some change, I think we'd just be better off without it.

I wantto give you some more rep, but it says I must spread it around first. I'm pretty sure I've given quite a few since then.
